Vedic Astrology

Indian Astrology is also known as Indian Vedic Astrology or Vedic Astrology. Vedic astrology deals with astral light patterns that are thought to determine our destiny. Vedic Astrology can be defined as the science explains in details the planetary movements and positions in respect to day and time, and their effects on 12 zodiac signs that influence the personality traits of humans.

In short, it depends on the correct positions of the zodiacal fixed sun signs in regards to the place/location on the earth at given point of time.

Basic Principal of Vedic Astrology

The important principal of vedic astrology is that everything is connected. Your karma or fortune is controlled by a predestined cosmic design. You are a spirit incarnating in a body at a particular time and place, and your life is an impression of the greater whole into which you are born, similarly as flowers blossom at specific times, when all conditions are impeccably suitable. So is the situation with our births on this planet, as indicated by the hypothesis of karma.

If you wish to have a happily married and luxurious life you must follow vedic astrology. It is believed that the position of stars and planets at the time when an individual is born has great influence on his/her life.

The Predictive Magic of Vedic Astrology

The planets and stars affect the fate of the person, and with the planetary and star transits, various positive and negative events occur in his life.

With the help of Astrology, astrologers can create a natal chart of horoscope/Kundali, which can help in understanding the characteristics and personality of a person. Not only this, with the help of a Kundali, we can identify the various aspects of his life which include career, marriage, love and relationships, health, wealth, finances and much more.

Not only this, Hindu astrology can be used to predict the various events occurring in the future. With the help of astrology, we can get to know about the various events that will happen in the coming future, both auspicious and inauspicious.

Future is uncertain and if we knew in advance about the events that will happen in our life, we can plan in a better way and be well prepared for the events.

Difference between Vedic and Western Astrology

The basic difference between Vedic and Western astrology is that their charts are vary from each other. Vedic chart is square in share and western chart has round shape. Vedic astrology uses sidereal or stellat zodiac which means "pertaining to the stars". On the other hand Western astrology uses Tropical. In Sidereal astrology, the zodiac is aligned with 27 constellations, or fixed star groups. In the tropical zodiac, the point in space when the Sun crosses the earth’s equator is the beginning point of the zodiac.

The origins of Vedic Astrology can be traced back to the Rig Veda which is the oldest part of the Vedas, containing the spiritual knowledge of India – the science of Self-knowing. It has always been regarded as a spiritual rather than a mundane discipline.

Western Astrology was devised by the Greeks and the Babylonians around 2,000 to 3,000 years ago. They believed that, since the Sun is the center of the Solar System, the relationship of the Earth to the Sun is most important. It utilizes the Tropical Zodiac, which measures the relationship of the Sun to the Earth’s tropics.
